Children's Sunday School
Westminster believes in Sunday school! We know that many peoples’ faith first came alive in a Sunday school class as a child and it is our hope and prayer that many of our youth will have that same experience.

We provide classes for all ages year round with nursery care available so that no one is left out.

Our children and youth use Bible based curriculum that seeks to help our young people learn the great stories of Scripture while increasing their understanding of those stories as they grow.

Classes are taught by dedicated men and women who work hard to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for learning. Because we know that more of the faith will be caught than taught our teachers make a conscious effort to demonstrate in both word and action what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

As our young people reach middle and high school a concerted effort is made to challenge their thinking about Jesus’ call upon their lives. Our hope is that during these years they will make the faith of their parent’s their own. We desire our young people to be leaders on their college campuses and business or home lives and want to do what we can to equip them for those roles. Our youth ministry (make sure to take a look at www.westminsteryouth.com if you have middle or high school youth for more information on our youth program) builds on our Sunday school to provide resources for youth and their parents to successfully navigate the teenage years.

Children's Choirs
Children’s Choirs are offered during the school year at WPC’s Wednesday Night Cross-Training (6:00 dinner, 6:45-7:30 children’s choirs/adult & youth classes).  Each choir sings in Sunday morning Worship about once a month.  In addition, the choirs sing for Lessons & Carols, Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, and perform a Spring Musical.

 Vacation Bible School
Westminster families look forward every year to an this exciting week of spiritual development designed especially for the elementary age child. Each year there is a new and interesting theme which appeals to all ages. Our Vacation Bible School or VBS typically runs from Monday to Thursday from 9-12, followed by a Thursday evening celebration dinner which is enjoyed by the entire family. This is a time where children can be immersed in stories of the bible in a fun and exciting way and begin to understand the depth of God’s love for them. It is also a wonderful opportunity for older children to become involved in service to others as many middle and high schooler enjoy helping with the various activities or preparing materials needed for the week. Westminster members organize and staff the VBS, making it a wonderful opportunity for involvement and for getting to know each other and the children of the church better. We welcome and encourage visitors to our VBS as well!

Youth Choirs, Middle and High School run on a contract basis for specific projects, in recognition of our students’ very busy and demanding lives with opportunities for drama, handbells, and singing.  High Schoolers are also encouraged to join the Westminster Choir, Wednesdays 7:40-9:00, right after Cross Training.

Youth Group
