Westminster encourages its people to gather into small groups as often as they are able. We believe that it is in small groups that we find the intimacy and accountability that gives substance and depth to our walk with Christ and his people. As a result we have some groups that have been meeting for many years. From time to time we have organized a round of small groups around a particular theme – but these have been for just a season in the life of the church. Most other small groups have emerged from within the life of the church as people have gotten to know one another and organized – again for a season – times for study and fellowship.
Because of the great time pressures on families we are also now using our Wednesday night mid-week ‘Cross Training’ time as an opportunity for small groups. After dinner together, the children and youth are dismissed to their programs and the adults get together in small groups that stay together for the 8 or 9 weeks of Cross Training each semester.
