Walking the Way of the Cross

The liturgical seasons of the Church year are meant to shape us as God’s people as we remember our lives as part of God’s living story in which we are invited to participate. The 40 day season of Lent is one in which God calls us to recover rhythms of grace and to find our way back once again to the One we love and long for the most.  “’And yet, even now,’ says the Lord, ‘return to me with all your heart.’”(Joel 2:12).  The days ahead at Westminster will include meaningful ways for us to join Christ in his journey to the cross. As we follow Jesus on his journey, we begin to understand that in Jesus’ sufferings we see our own journey mirrored in his.
