Trevor and his wife Joany have been married for over 30 years and have three children, Colin, Kathleen, & Aaron. He is a 1976 graduate of the College of William & Mary and a 1979 graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Hamilton campus.
Trevor has served Westminster church since 2003. Trevor teaches theology at Charlotte Christian College and Seminary, and has earned his doctorate at the Oxford Centre of Missions Studies with a focus on African literature and its effect on the Christian church. Trevor enjoys reading and music and has a passion for playing ice hockey.

Leslie and her husband Parkes had been a part of Westminster for over 25 years as lay leaders when she sensed God’s call on her life to go to Seminary and pursue pastoral ministry, and in 2009, she was ordained to serve alongside Trevor at Westminster.
Leslie is a 1979 graduate of Vanderbilt University and a 2007 graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theolgical Seminary, Charlotte campus. Leslie and Parkes have two daughters, Hollister and Hannah who are both in the nursing vocation. Leslie enjoys reading, hiking, golfing and playing with her two dogs.

Austin grew up in Hickory, NC. He is a 2018 graduate of Berry College in Rome, GA, with a degree in Communications, concentration in Public Relations, as well as a minor in Psychology. He has grown up in the church with his dad being a pastor his whole life, as well as spending a summer as a youth intern at Church of the Redeemer in Greensboro, NC. He loves everything NC, such as Cook Out, Cheerwine, Bojangles, and Krispy Kreme, and he will never turn down a round of golf. Austin is also a Wyld Life leader at Carmel Middle School.
Anna is from Mount Airy, NC home of Andy Griffith and Mayberry. She is a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a major in Sociology, Art and Psychology. She is fanatical about Coca Cola (do NOT try to serve her Pepsi), and loves dogs more than is probably appropriate. She is also a Young Life leader at East Mecklenburg high school.
Children’S ministrY Director
Jennifer was raised in Lancaster, SC. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, one year of theological training at Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Boston, MA and a Master’s degree from Bethel Seminary of the West in San Diego, CA. She comes to Westminster after spending more than 15 years counseling children and families both in private practice and agencies. She also has experience leading children’s programming for several churches, serving in an orphanage in Ethiopia and teaching school.
Jennifer loves (almost) all things children from music and dancing to board games and playing in the mud. She and her husband have four precious children with one on the way and two cuddly dogs.
Organist / Choir Master
Matthew studied organ at the Eastman School of Music, Houghton College, Syracuse University and the State University of New York, College at Fredonia. In 1992, Matthew, took top prize in the American Guild of Organists Regional Organ competition.
In 1994, Matthew won the prestigious Arthur Poister International award for organ performance. Matthew is a music teacher for Union County Public Schools. Matthew loves all kinds of music and is over all the choirs at Westminster, from children to adult. Matthew has three children, Lexi, Luke, & Aubrey.
Carol was raised in Charlotte. Her husband, David, is also a native Charlottean. Carol graduated from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Business Administration. She enjoyed a career in technology and banking, and is glad to bring her business experience to the church. When she’s not working, she can usually be found outside gardening or hiking.
Shelly was born and raised here in Charlotte, along with her husband, Bill. They have three children and one grandchild. She is a Clemson graduate with a major in Mechanical Engineering. Shelly’s work history has been in factory maintenance and construction forensics. She enjoys gardening, walking with friends, sailing with Bill, and of course, being a Grandmama!
Nancy moved to Charlotte in November 2014 to be with her son, Perry and family, and daughter, Wendy. While living in Oregon, Nancy worked as a church secretary for 15 years. She is now working part-time as our Business Administrator.
