Westminster women gather together in several capacities and in many areas of service to our community and to our church. There are several circles of all “ages and stages” that meet monthly for Bible and book studies. There are usually two big events, one in the fall and one in the spring, where all the women have a meal together and a special speaker invited in. Westminster women also have a “Good Tidings” group that help to coordinate meals for those homebound and sick in our congregation, and a “Funeral Reception Group” that coordinates that part of our life together. As well there is an “WPC Hospitality Group” in the making currently. There is a morning and evening “Moms to Moms” group that has an intergenerational and mentoring format. The women of the church are given oversight and vision by the Women-of-the-Church-Board that meets quarterly for prayer and planning and for new member outreach. The women of the church also plan and look forward a retreat every other year in Valle Cruces. Every year the Board picks an outreach ministry that God leads them to that is in someway connected with women in our congregation. Westminster women are committed to God’s Spirit guiding them in all areas of the life of the church, and prove to be a strength in keeping our church life whole and compassionate.
